The Friends of Lake Robinson have established this Memorial Scholarship Fund to remember those who are no longer with us and who have faithfully given of themselves to preserve Lake Robinson as an economic, recreational and environmental resource for the Greater Greer community. One of our goals is to create a sustainable community around Lake Robinson with households committed to environmental preservation, green architectural principles and economic integration. We hope that those students who compete for this scholarship will follow our lead and help create such sustainable communities throughout the world.
The scholarship amount is for $1,000 and is open to any student in the Taylors (29687) or Greer (29650 or 29651) zip codes who will be studying for college majors related to: environmentalism, sustainable design and technology, renewable energy or other “green” sciences. They will be accepting applications up to April 1, 2024.
